By using Secrets, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use this service.
Service Description
Secrets is a free, zero-knowledge secret sharing service. We provide temporary encrypted storage for one-time secret links. Secrets are encrypted client-side and deleted after viewing or expiration.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The content you encrypt and share.
- Ensuring you have the right to share the information.
- Complying with applicable laws when using this service.
- Securely sharing links only with intended recipients.
- Understanding that links work only once and cannot be recovered after viewing.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use this service to:
- Store or share illegal content.
- Violate intellectual property rights.
- Distribute malware, phishing links, or harmful code.
- Harass, threaten, or harm others.
- Abuse the service through automation, excessive requests, or denial-of-service attacks.
Limitation of Liability
This service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Lost, deleted, or inaccessible secrets.
- Unauthorized access to secrets due to link sharing.
- Service interruptions or downtime.
- Errors or bugs in the encryption or retrieval process.
- Misuse of secrets by recipients.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for this service (which is zero).
No Warranty
We do not guarantee:
- 100% uptime or availability.
- That the service will meet your specific needs.
- That secrets will always be retrievable before expiration.
Data Deletion
Secrets are automatically deleted after one view or when the TTL expires. Once deleted, they cannot be recovered. We do not provide backups.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service for users who violate these terms or misuse the service.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date indicates the most recent revision.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Germany.
Open Source
The source code for this service is open source and available on GitHub. You may review, audit, or self-host the code under the terms of its license.
